It's a Wonderful Life
“No man is a failure who has friends” is a quote from my all-time favorite move “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I watch the movie every year at Christmas, and it never gets old. In case you’ve never seen the movie (even though I find it hard to believe there is anyone on the planet who has never seen the movie), it details the life of George Bailey, an unlikely hero who sacrificed his dreams for the sake of others, at one point contemplated ending his life, and in the end realized that no matter what challenges he faced in life there was still value to his existence. Even if you don’t believe it, the fact is the world would not be the same without you. As Clarence observed in a conversation with George: “Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?”
